Combines the foundation of yoga,
the precepts of medical therapeutic yoga,
and the roots of occupational therapy.
Bringing three areas of wisdom together under the sun.
Why Medical Therapeutic Yoga?
YogaSol combines three specific areas:
Yoga is an ancient health practice that promotes union and oneness of the mind, body, breath, and spirit, and enhances and promotes a balanced lifestyle of health and well-being.
Medical Therapeutic Yoga, a scientifically-based practice, provides comprehensive holistic care through a 'prescriptive medical lens.* Through a biopsychosocial model, this integrative and functional medicine-based treatment addresses injury, illness prevention, and wellness. MTY is 'whole-person care'* that is tailored to one's unique physical and psychological presentation.
3. Occupational Therapy (OT)
Occupational therapy is an evidence-based practice designed to inspire wellness, health improvement and health restoration. Occupational Therapists assist others in restoring and maintaining optimal movement and function in the life activities. OT enhances one's quality of life, life balance, and self-awareness.
MTY helps you develop a personalized plan of care based on your journey and unique presentation.
Symptoms that arise from varied diagnoses resulting in pain or weakness can respond beautifully to intervention steeped in the yoga practice.
Arthritis and Fibromyalgia

-"Medical Therapeutic Yoga sounds, on the surface, like just a convenient combination of comforting words. Quite the contrary - I soon found after entering a series of private sessions with Kristin of YogaSol.
We read much these days about the long-sought merging of textbook science with that which is viewed as divine or spiritual.
In a nutshell, is what YogaSol represents. All those initials after Kristin’s name (OTD, OTR/L, CHT, PYT) represent the science. The divine/spiritual enters in via Kristin’s two-plus decades embrace of a classic and traditional yoga practice.
Those two elements are wonderfully married as equal partners in YogaSol. The gift of time spent in practice with Kristin is supremely unique - in that it serves the strength and health of the physical body, the well-being of the mental and emotional mind, and yes indeed – a reaching into the beautiful mysteries of the soul."

-"Yogasol has the ability to change lives. The depth of the care that is received in a yogasol session, is beyond what you can receive in a group setting. The care and the attention provided during a session promotes well-being. Kristin has an incredible knowledge base. In addition, she truly cares about those she works with."
